I got the new iPhone 4s just before Christmas 2011 and I’m using it more and more, just grabbing snaps. Well, sort of just grabbing, as I’m using it to shoot hdr, which means I’m usually holding it against something, which involves thinking about the composition and how I’m going to take the shot without being a human tripod. This shot was taken at work, just after a morning meeting. The light was right and it’s something I’ve shot before … on film. It’s a bit grainy but the look and feel of it is fine, and the shadow play certainly works well. I’m processing them in-phone by using Snapseed, which gives you some latitude cropping and toning. I’ve started a folder of iPhone shots that you can see by clicking here. Just random impressions, nothing too thought out. Yet.
