Exposed: Long exposure and multiple strobe flash

Serenity in motion

Another great evening at Toni’s studio. Michael, Toni and I worked with Serenity, trying a few new ideas. One of them was based our our recent flash/long exposure technique to get light candles and a person’s form.  This time round we did long exposures and multiple flashes: generally, 3 or 4 strobe flashes over a 4 second exposure.  You never know what you’re going to get, and the fail rate for images is pretty high, but when it works, it’s great! Here’s an example of Serenity waving two separate pieces of fabric, assisted by a fan (of the mechanical variety).
